As of today (18 July) Play School has been entertaining and educating little ones in Australia now for 55 years. Happy Birthday!
Thanks to its educational values and for moving with the times, Play School remains relevant to today’s viewers making it the longest running children’s show in Australia, having aired for 55 years. It is the second longest running children’s show in the world, after the British series Blue Peter.
A host of spin-off shows have including The Banana’s In Pyjama’s, Big Ted’s Big Adventure, Story Time, Art Time, Jemima’s Big Adventure to just name a few.
To celebrate this big occasion Play School have released a special episode The Very Silly Special. I watched this with my son’s and we loved it!
