Have you seen Sally and Possum?

Sally and Possum is an (awesome) entertaining and educational Australian production for young children which introduces Auslan, Australian sign language. Developed for 4-8 year olds by the Queensland’s education department to build literacy skills.

Although designed for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and whose primary language is Auslan, the show is equally engaging for all viewers.

The show is led by Sally, who is deaf, and Possum who has two deaf parents. Each episode follows the fun adventures of Sally and Possum as they explore, discover and learn about the world around them using Auslan. Together and with a little help from their community and school children friends, the characters use sign language to interact with deaf children as they find fun filled solutions to everyday problems.
